This study is aimed to (1) identify level of mental health literacy and (2) the association between mental health literacy and social relationship among marriage migration females. Using a cross-sectional survey with a quota sampling strategy, We collected 208 people marriage migration females during April, 2013 with self-administered questionnaire and analyzed responses from 193 people. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple regression with the SPSS 21.0 program. The mental health literacy level of marriage migration females was low 2.9¡¾1.05 and they had difficulty in understanding mental health service informations and programs. Factors influencing mental health literacy were education level, ability to understand spoken Korean, self-rated health status, and depression level. Social support and social network of social relationship were associated with mental health literacy controlled by population characteristics and health-related variables. Efforts to improve mental health literacy of marriage migration females may need to enhance social relationship (social support and social network) through community-based education programs.
